流下眼泪,留下智慧

9th December 2009, Wednesday. 流下眼泪,留下智慧. Ai Lee wrote this on her caption in MSN Messenger. This sentence seems like very meaningful and quite true too. Somehow, this might not apply to everyone. Some people will become cleverer after being hurt and I do believe that some people are still being a fool after being hurt for many times. She quoted this from one of Lee Hom's song. Then she continued the sentence in this way, 流下眼泪,留下智慧,什么时候后我们来一场灵魂之窗大扫除!Suddenly this sentence becomes very funny especially her friend asked her whether she needs a maid for it! LOL... I tried my best to learn how to write each of the word..:-) Thanks Ai Lee for being my Japanese and Mandarin Master.... Arigatou Gozaimas and Oyasumi Nasai....!!! It's time to sleep already...ZZzzzzzz..

6th December 2009, Sunday. A gift set; Ralph Lauren Romance 75ml Perfume and Ralph Lauren Romance 100ml Body Lotion. The gift set was RM349. If you purchase separately, the perfume and lotion would be sold at RM290 and RM180 respectively. The gift set come with a free Ralph Lauren traveler bag. I actually like the bag more than the perfume..:-P

Dinner at Imperial Chakri Palace, KLCC

5th December 2009, Saturday. I went to KLCC at night with my friend. KLCC had already set up all the x-mas decors. It looked quite nice but not very impressive. KLCC was very crowded as PIKOM Fair was held at Convention Centre from 4-6th December 2009. Here are some of the x-mas decors.

We had our dinner at Imperial Chakri Palace. This restaurant served Thai's Cuisine. The food there was quite delicious too. I went there once; I think 3 years ago. The environment and service were good. That's why the price was not cheap as well.

The environment

Fried Fish with some assam sauce (dunno how to describe), RM68.00

Seafood Tempura; Crab, Shrimp, Oyster, Cutter Fish Tempura with thousand island sauce, RM 39.90

Tom Yam Seafood Soup RM18.00

'Tou miao' RM19.50

Overall the food was nice. I like the Tom Yam soup but it was too cold. Not hot at all. That's why it was not that nice. And also the honey dew juice was bad. Very diluted. This was what they so called 100% fresh juice. Sucksss!!!

Honey dew juice, RM10.90. It was a bad day for me to order fresh juice, at Shepherdoo and Imperial Chakri Palace...:-(

The total bill was about RM222. If you pay with Hong Leong credit card, you'll entitle 15% for all the food excluding drinks. Thus the total bill of dinner after discount was RM196.60. Quite expensive I would say....

Lunch at Shepherdoo, Centro Klang

5th December 2009, Saturday. Today I woke up late (12.30pm). It was my first time to wake up so late after so many months of working. I had my lunch with my friend, Timothy. It had been a long time I have never met him. We had our lunch at The Shepherdoo, Centro Klang. It was just opened for one month plus. The environment there was good. The food was nice too. I ordered Gourment Chicken Fajitas and a glass of orange juice. The Gourmet Chicken Fajitas, served traditionally on a sizzling hot skillet with mixed peppers and onions, tossed in their own Shepherdoo's blend of spices, served with sour cream, guacamole and homemade salsa. It was nice but I felt a bit stupid of ordering it because I just had this type of food (taste) in Dubai. I should have ordered something else....:-P Anyway, the food was delicious. The orange juice was really bad. It is not recommended at all....

Timothy had ordered Song of the Sea. A special seafood pasta with chef's homemade red sauce. I could taste the seafood and the pasta was a bit spicy. Thumb up!!! The drink was nice too I guess....:-)

In conclusion, the environment there was good and food was excellent. I would definitely visit to there again... Thanks to Timothy for the lunch and congratulations on the opening of his newly opened restaurant with his friends...:-)

The Road Not Taken

3rd December 2009, Thursday. I still remember very well a poem by Robert Frost, THE ROAD NOT TAKEN. The poem is very meaningful and I think it is very true....

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
two roads diverged in a wood, and I --
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Our life is full of making decisions. Everyday, we have to make decision; small, big, serious or important decision. Every decision that you make will eventually change your life. Today, I have made another decision. I am sure after this decision, the path of my road will be changed again. I hope that I have made the correct decision although I know, there's always no right and wrong in our life...

My Dubai Biz Trip - Day 8

29th November 2009, Sunday. Finally it was the last day already. Ai Lee and I felt tired and started missing home after so many days in Dubai. We also spent a lot of money throughout the days in Dubai.....----> It's time to get home! Hahahaha... We checked out from the hotel at 12.00pm and took a taxi to Wafi Mall. It was the last place we visited before leaving Dubai. In my opinion, I think that there's nothing much special in Wafi Mall. It was older and smaller than Mall of Emirates and Dubai Mall. We were just walking and hanging around to let the time pass. The x-mas decors were already set up. Looked okay only and not impressive enough hehehe....

Look at Ai Lee.... Not the decor hahahahaha.. She's much prettier than the decor!

We ended up sitting and chatting at the Wafi Gourmet. This cafe was quite expensive. I did not order any drinks as I was still full. Mr Song ordered Arabic Coffee and Ai Lee ordered Mint Tea. I guess the drinks were quite good...:-) We ordered Arabic Sweet Dessert. It was very sweet... We could not really able to finish it. Since we were really too free that time, and we played the game so called 'Truth or Dare'. Truth = Say out the truth + eating the Arabic sweets. Same went for Dare hahahaha..... Ai Lee was a bit unlucky and she was asked numerous questions by Mr Song. Anyway, it was a good chat and I think everyone enjoyed it.

The end of my Dubai's Trip~~~

My Dubai Biz Trip - Day 7

28th November 2009, Saturday. The time flew very fast. I started to miss my home, Malaysia. I love Malaysia. Malaysia is still the best place after all... LOL... Well... we had nothing much to do on that day but to shop for some souvenirs. We took a taxi to the Clock Tower. Other exhibitors from Malaysia told us that we could get a cheaper price souvenir from the shop nearby Clock Tower.

Somehow, we could not find the place. Finally, I sms Siu Yong from Evershine (Bins manufacturer). Luckily she replied to me and told me that the shop was Gift Gallery and it was located nearby the Sun Shine Hotel. Thanks god. We found it finally. We managed to get some souvenirs such as t-shirts, ashtrays, keychains, shot glass etc.

After that, we took a taxi to the Water Taxi Terminal at Dubai Creek I guess. I could not really remember the place name, but I just remember that place has a lower living expenses. The streets and the shops nearby were very crowded with foreigners from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indians, Indonesians etc. It was very crowded. I felt a bit uneasy as there were just a few ladies there. They looked at us differently. The t-shirts sold were not cheap as well. We thought the price should be quite reasonable, hence Mr Song had bought 2 t-shirts at AED17 each if not mistaken.

A lot of people were queuing for water taxi. Somehow, it was quite fast as there were quite many water taxis at the terminal. Each trip only costs AED1 per person. This transportation was specially established to help the poor I guess.

It just took about 5 minutes to reach the other terminal (the opposite side) I guess. I did not look at the watch as we were busy taking pictures hahahaa....
The market/shop at the this side was better. The price was so much cheaper. Guess what?! The t-shirt was just sold at AED10!!! It was a bad deal for Mr Song as he had bought so much more expensive. Somehow, he still grabbed a few more t-shirts at AED10. I just bought one for myself but Mr Song and Ai Lee had bought 4-5 t-shirts each.

Then, we took a taxi back to hotel just to drop the things and went to the one of the biggest mall (I guess should be the biggest) in Dubai directly. It was really huge and crowded. A lot of people were visiting the mall. The food court was very big too. There were variety of food from various countries. I just love it. We did not have much time to walk around. It was really too big.

We thought of visiting the Sega Republic but it was too expensive to enter.

Food ordered by Ai Lee....

So, we just went to watch the Musical Fountains. It was really cool!!! The performance was amazing and I love it so much. How romantic it would be if you hold your wedding besides the fountain! Hahahahaha... This was what I kept telling Ai Lee during the performance.

We also managed to take some of the pictures at the side of fountains. Nice buildings and nice views..:-P
