My Dubai Biz Trip - Day 5

27th November 2009, Thursday. It was the last day of exhibition. Not many visitors were around. Early in the morning, I could hear and see the exhibitors packing and dismantling their things. Since we did not have much visitors around, I was walking around and chatting with other exhibitors from Malaysia and took some pictures at the end of the day.

My Dubai Biz Trip - Day 4

25th November 2009, Wednesday. It was the 3rd day of the exhibition. This exhibition was not as tiring as the Indobuild Tech Exhibition in Jakarta. The people here would only ask for info if they are really interested. After the exhibition, we went to MATRADE centre again for networking session. It was so called net working session, but most of the people there were talking and chatting among themselves (I mean the exhibitors from Malaysia). And me too. I was eating and chatting with Raymond and Joey. We enjoyed chatting together as we were at about the same age. This what people called NO generation gap!! LOL.....

My Dubai Biz Trip - Day 3

24th November 2009, Tuesday. We had a fantastic breakfast! I thought I have booked the hotel inclusive of breakfast, but actually it was not included. As a result, we have to find our own food for breakfast. Dubai people open the shops quite late. Thus, the best way is you prepare your own breakfast. Mr Song, my manager became the chief of the morning. He cooked us a fantastic breakfast. He was helped by Ai Lee, and I did nothing. Hahahaha.... Thanks my dear managers for the breakfast... :-P

Nice breakfast, good appearance and nice taste. We have scrambled egg, garlic sausages, ham, bread, strawberries and orange juice. Does it look delicious? YES

After the breakfast, we went to exhibition hall and worked. 2nd day was the best day. We had most enquries for our products. After work, Ai Lee invited Dato Wong and Mr Lim from Wong Engineering to have dinner with us. We took a free shuttle to Metro Station to take the train to Deira City Centre. We had our dinner at there. We ate Lebanese food for our dinner. We had grilled fish, grilled cutter fish, grilled chicken, beef and grilled lamb. The food was quite nice and it was my first time to eat Lebanese food.

The environment in the Lebanese Restaurant....

The appetizer...No good.... I do not not how to enjoy it...

This was the apple juice, but we did not think it looked like the apple juice. The color was weird...

Ice Lemon Tea

Grilled fish

Grilled lamb

Grilled chicken

Grilled cutter fish, the best among all.... Yummy

Hot pepper grilled beef... I did not eat the beef but the sauce was nice. I like the sauce very much.

The total bill was about AED310. Thanks to Dato Wong for spending 4 of us...:-)

My Dubai Biz Trip - Day 2

23rd November 2009, Monday. The Big 5 Exhibition; International Buildings and construction Show was officially started. Big 5 is held from 23-26th November 2009 at World Trade Centre. World Trade Centre is considered as one of biggest hall in the world. It have a lot of halls. Our exhibition was held at Hall No. 10. Every year, Big 5 is held at World Trade Centre, Dubai and it is one of the biggest exhibition. This was my first time to visit and participate in such a big show! A brand new experience for me. You could see different people and different products in this exhibition. Well, here are some of the pictures that were taken during the exhibition.

Me at UNIQUE GREEN RECREATION booth! Booth No. 10F124

This was the TRACTOR show!! Amazing and fantastic. And the drivers were very handsome too... LOL

After the exhibition, we went for dinner at chinese restaurant (forgot the name already). The food was still okay but Malaysia's food is still the BEST! LOL

Coke and Diet Coke

Fried Rice with noodles

Kong Pao Chicken

Broccoli with asparagus

Sour and spicy soup! Not bad...

The total bill was AED 90. Considered reasonable in Dubai, but if I were have to pay this amount in Malaysia, I would say, "This is extremely expensive". LOL

My Dubai Biz Trip - Day 1

22nd November 2009, Sunday. Well, my company had sent me, and both of my managers, Mr Song and Ms Loh to participate in Big 5 Exhibition. Our flight departed on Sunday at 12.00am. The flight took about 7 hours and we reached there at about 3am Dubai local time. Dubai is 4 hours later than us (GMT 4+). We stayed at Moon Valley Hotel Apartment at Bur Dubai, near the Business Centre and Burjurman Mall. The hotel was good enough as they let us to check in earlier without any extra charges. By right, they could charge us another half day of stay. I booked this apartment through online and we were entitled the special rate at AED 425 per night (normal price was AED 750). This hotel was considered new and the facilities were quite good I would say! Here are some of the pictures of our 2 Bed Room Apartment Room....

The lobby. It looked quite nice~~

Our apartment No.210's living room. It was big enough for us...:-P

This was my room. I stayed with Ai Lee.....

Mr Song's room... Wooooo... He had a bigger room compared to us with personal TV!

The toilet + bathroom....

The other toilet with washing machine...

Well... this was the kitchen facilitated with gas stove, oven, microwave, electric jug kettle and refrigerator. Fantastic!!
We rested for 2 hours then we went to MATRADE Centre for briefing and refreshment. Then we went to the exhibition hall to set up the booth. Since we have nothing much to set up, we left the hall early and paid a visit to one of the biggest mall in Dubai, Mall of Emirates. The mall was quite big and elegant. The malls have lots of brands; branded and non-branded (which I considered quite expensive). Well... everything in Dubai is expensive I would say.

Mall of Emirates

Ski Dubai. It is a part of Mall of Emirates. Ski Dubai is an indoor ski resort with 22,500-square meters of indoor ski area. The entrance fee was quite expensive. That's why we did not go in. I just able to capture this small little picture from the window.
