Blood Donation

26th July 2009, Sunday. It's a Happy Sunday and meaningful Sunday for me. Usually, I feel so bad and hate Sunday very much as I have nothing to do yet cannot sleep too much. Today, I woke up at 8am and went to Central shopping complex at OUG. I went there as a volunteer for PKII to help out in blood donation organized by the Blood Bank. It was the first time I helped out in blood donation. Thanks to all donors. They were very nice, friendly and generous and not like the medical officers from Blood Bank. The officers were lazy and not friendly at all. They even reached late and kept asking us to go back early. I really like all the volunteers of PK11; Jacie, Lee Yen, Jason, Danny, Everlyn etc. All of them are nice, friendly and helpful people. I will try to spend more time to help them out in future.

The Most Meaningful Day in 2009

24th July 2009, Friday. It was a meaningful day for me. This was the first time I became a volunteer. I have decided to become a volunteer for PKK11 Home, Wilayah Kuala Lumpur & Selangor. PKK11 is a home that provides help and home for children who suffer from brain injury, autism, Asperger's syndrome, learning disorder, sensorimotor disorder, slow learning, behavioural problem, down’s syndrome & cerebral palsy. Besides, they also provide treatment for the children, special education etc. PKK11 is led by Dr Teo and helped by few committee members. My colleague, Joo Yee is one of the committee members. She’s the one who introduced me becoming a volunteer to help them raising fund for the children. This is a very meaningful job. I truly respect all of the committee members. Joo Yee told me during the first year they built this home, every month they had to contribute money to the home as their financial was not stable; not much people know about their existence. Besides, the committee themselves had to take care of the children every day as they did not afford to hire any staffs. Now PKK11 is considered financially stable and they have hired some people to take care of the children. They even support 2 orphanage homes.

Every year, PKK11 will organize an annual dinner to raise fund which usually will be held at the end of the year. As for this year, the dinner will be held on 21st November 2009. I hope that I can help them out during the dinner and help them selling the dinner tickets to all my pals..:-) RM50 per ticket!

Besides the annual dinner, PKK11’s volunteers will raise fund through various types of activities such as dinners at temples, concerts, blood donation etc. Every year, they will help out at Susie So’s concert. Susie So is a singer from China. They have agreement with her. They will help out during the concert and PKK11 will entitle commission from the wines, beer etc sales. That’s why I was there to help out at Menara PGRM, Cheras. I helped them selling wines from table to table. Besides that, I brought a child (I think he’s the slow learning child) to the audience seats to raise fund. It was not an easy job as some of the people were just too bad. But cannot be denied that there were people who were very nice and generous to donate $. Thanks to all of them!

The concert was ended at 11++. We were there until 12am. We managed to take pictures with the singer, Susie So and also an invited guest, 2008’s Astro Old Folk’s Singing Competition. It was a bit tiring helping out after work. However, after all, it’s worth as I could help to raise fund for the children.

Flavors, Centro Klang

Best Pals, Carmen and Orangee (Mei Ying)

Oooh.. We had 2 buckets of Heineken! Horng Jye drank the most, he is a good drinker!

18th July 2009, Saturday. Aunty Mandy was at Klang on Saturday night. That's why we went out yum cha at Flavors, Centro with her. Carmen and I went there at about 9.45pm and Mandy, Carmen's bf, Horng Jye, Mei Ying and her bf's Hong Yew joined us at 10pm++. We met Soh Leng there. She went there with her hubby. That was the second time Carmen and I met her there. I guess she goes there quite frequent! LOL. It was a nice and enjoyable night. It has been quite a long time I never out with Mei Ying and chit chat with her. I can't wait for another gathering with all of them again. I guess the next gathering with all of them should be in August 2009, for BBQ at Carmen's house. I wait for the day to come!!! I am craving for BBQ since March 2009!

Lunch at Little Ben

8th July 2009, Wednesday. Today, I went to Little Ben at Kota Kemuning besides the Herbaline for lunch with my colleague, Vincent. Everyday, Little Ben has different lunch set and drink. I had their Wednesday's set lunch, Lemon Chicken Rice and Wednesday's specialty drink, cincau. I quite like the food there. The environment there is quite good and comfortable too! The price is reasonable and food is quite delicious. I spent about RM9.00 for the food + drink (Lunch)!

New Desktop!

17th July 2007, Friday. It has been a long time i never updated my blog as I don't have laptop or pc to write blog. Now I have to 'backorder' my blogs. LOL. Today, I just bought a new desktop from one of my Samad juniors, Alan at RM2170. It might be slightly more expensive compared to Low Yat, KL. Somehow I still chose to buy from him at Klang Parade as I could get him to repair my PC if anything happens! As usual, I am so bad luck, I could not use my Samsung 21.5" monitor. I need to get myself a graphic in order to use it. Tomorrow I am going to install an external graphic card. I hope that my computer is 'safe' to be used! Pray for the best.. I am already very tired buying all 'problematic' electronic/ electrical thingy... God please help me!

Desktop Spec: Intel C2D Quad Processor 2.33Ghz, 500GB Hardisk, 4GB Ram, 21.5" Samsung Sync Master 2243 Monitor, GE Force 7200 Graphic Card, Wireless Adapter, Mirosoft 500 Keyboard & Mouse, ClipTec USB Hub, etc..... > RM2170
